Hi! Heather Guimond owns and operates heather-rayne.com, heatherguimond.com and darynrayne.com

I know you’re wondering what this privacy policy business is all about. Let me tell you! All it is is who I am and how I deal with any information that might be collected while I operate my website.

Foremost, it’s my policy to respect your privacy. I’m not going to sell, rent or trade email lists with anyone. We all hate spam, and the last thing I’m going to do is sell out our peeps. But, just to make sure we’re on the up and up, I’m going to provide a lot of detailed info on when and why I collect information, how it’s used, and the very rare occasions I might disclose it to others.

What do I do with your data?

Well the first reason is to make a super-cool website tailored to give you all information relating to Daryn Rayne, Heather Rayne and my upcoming releases, and pretty much any other things you might want to know about us.

I also use it for market research, so we can better understand which of our works you like!

With your permission, we’ll send you newsletters about new releases, games, contests, giveaways, and some bonus content you won’t find anywhere else (think: deleted/extended scenes, exclusive serial stories written just for you, and any other cool ideas and promotional offers we come up with to keep you coming back for more.

Where I have a legal duty or right to use or disclose your info (for example, in relation to an investigation by a public authority or in the case of a legal dispute).

Mailing Lists

As part of the signup process for my email newsletter, I collect personal information.

I use that information for a couple of reasons: to tell you about stuff you’ve asked me to tell you about; to contact you if I need to obtain or provide additional information; to check my records are right and to check every now and then that you’re happy and satisfied. I don’t rent or trade email lists with other organizations and businesses.

I use a third-party provider, Constant Contact, to deliver my newsletter. Together, we gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve the email newsletter. For more information, please see Constant Contact’s Privacy Policy.

You can unsubscribe to general mailings at any time of the day or night by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of my emails. Occasionally, I use Instafreebie and Bookfunnel to offer free books. We do require collection of email addresses for such free books because we want to be able to offer you first crack at any new stuff, and make sure you are of the first informed about anything and everything related to our books. You can, of course, unsubscribe at any time. Our feelings won’t be hurt; we’ll just hope you eventually come back.

Please feel free to view their privacy policies:

Email and Personal Information Collected By My Webstore

If you buy from my webstore, the email is used to send you order information and updates, and may be added to my Mail List (currently under Constant Contact, though subject to change without notice). Occasionally I will send information about my store sales. You are free to unsubscribe at any time.
